Empower Me Within in 2026
In 2026, Empower Me Within is offered across two school terms, giving your daughter time to practice her skills, deepen friendships and grow her inner confidence over the year. Parents can choose one term or both, depending on their daughter’s needs, with all sessions held in North Brisbane during the school term.
Term 2 – Fantastic Friendships

In this 6‑week Term 2 program, your daughter will step into a small, supportive group where she can safely unpack big friendship feelings and explore where she truly belongs. Session by session, she’ll learn how to grow good friends, speak up when lines are crossed, understand the hurt behind hurtful behaviour, and choose whether to fix it or gently step back. With playful crafts, role‑plays and GEM practices (Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness), she’ll leave with language, courage and self‑trust she can use in real‑life friendship moments at school, online and at home.

Dates: 8 May – 12 June 2026. 
Time: Fridays, 4:00–5:30 pm AEST. 
Location: North Lakes Community Centre – The Activity Room.
Term 3 – Traditional Empower Me Within Program
In Term 3, you daughter will join the traditional 6 week Empower Me Within program where your daughter will learn how to ride out big emotions without spiralling, understand what her body is telling her, and bounce back faster when life feels hard, so resilience becomes her new default. She’ll strengthen her self-esteem from the inside out, quieten that harsh inner critic, and practise calm conversations so she can speak up, set boundaries and repair tricky moments with more confidence and courage. 

Dates: 30 July – 3 September 2026
Time: Thursdays, 4:00–5:30 pm AEST
Location: North Lakes Community Centre – The Activity Room.
